Jimmy’s Iced Coffee is now available in a limited edition donut flavour to tap into shopper thirst for the “next big flavour trend” in this growing category.
Supplier Carlsberg Britvic says that the slim 250ml can, which retails at £1.70, combines ”the bold flavour of coffee with the sweet taste of donuts”, and hits the shelves in time for the high soft drinks demand in summer.
The launch is expected to particularly appeal to younger Gen Z shoppers, aged up to 28, with 74% of this generation on the look out for new and unusual coffee flavours, says the company.
Russell Goldman, managing director, Breakthrough Brands, Carlsberg Britvic, says that this new product development “contains the perfect balance of sweetness, while retaining Jimmys’ signature refreshing taste”.
He adds: “As shoppers continue to seek out new and distinctive flavours, the launch presents a key opportunity for retailers to tap into. As the fastest growing established UK coffee brand, our aim is to help them [retailers] drive these sales in a growing category with our latest Donut innovation.”
The launch will be backed by a nationwide sampling campaign, including an activation at Bournemouth’s Paulton’s Park – in the town where the Jimmy’s Iced Coffee story began.
