Razorwire Energy has been launched to provide consumers with a more convenient alternative to energy drinks.

It is a capsule including caffeine, green tea and B vitamins among its ingredients to create energy.

Creator of Razorwire Matt Hickman said that a major feature for retailers was how little shelf space the product takes up, and that no refrigeration is required. It comes in packs of four capsules with a recommended retail price of £2.49 and is supplied in two formats: a clip strip of 12 packs of a shelf ready box of 12 packs.

Hickman said he was looking to introduce the Razorwire Energy into convenience stores and forecourts to offer consumers something different to the products available from the supermarkets.

He said from a consumer point of view the packs were far more convenient than carrying cans of energy drinks around, fitting easily into a purse or pocket, and not requiring to be cold to drink. And each pack contains the equivalent amount of caffeine to five energy drinks, making them a far more cost-effective energy source.
