Forecourt operators have been among Scoot’s early adopters

Some 100 stores have signed up to Booker’s Scoot delivery app following its launch earlier this year.

Forecourt operators have been amongst the early adopters of the app, while Booker recently partnered with Just Eat to help drive its expansion.

The 100th site to come on board is a Premier convenience store in Merthyr Tydfil, while Booker says more sites are signing up every week. The firm has been helping stores taking on the service by backing multi-buy promotions and package offers.

Customers using Scoot simply download the dedicated app and place their order, with deliveries charged at £2.99, and fulfilled either by the retailer or third-party drivers, including those signed up to Just Eat.

Damian Sanderson, Booker’s head of home delivery, said reaching 100 stores is “a real testament to the appetite from our retailers and their communities”.

Anuja Jenarthen from the Merthyr Tydfil store described Scoot as presenting “a great opportunity”, and said her shop is “looking forward to seeing how the service helps us reach more people in our community”.
