A criminal who took almost £150-worth of fuel from a forecourt has avoided jail and instead been given a 12-month community order with a supervision requirement for the duration and has been ordered to carry out 60 hours of unpaid work.
According to the Cumberland News & Star, 25-year old Andrew Mitchell from Carlisle drove off from the BP station in Morton without paying.
