Crasneanscki has been “instrumental in the rollout of laundry services in the UK”

ME Group, the firm behind Wash.Me laundrette machines, has named Vlad Crasneanscki as its new deputy chief executive officer.

Crasneanscki will take up the role with immediate effect. He was previously UK managing director for the firm, having joined in 2022 as head of customer development, later being promoted to head of commercial operations.

The company says Crasneanscki has been “instrumental in the rollout of laundry services in the UK”, forging partnerships with the likes of MFG, Morrisons and Shell.

ME Group installed its 1,000th laundrette machine in September 2024, with many of these being located at forecourts due to the space, parking and accessibility benefits such sites offer.

In June last year Surrey-based ME Group announced a pre-tax profit increase of 14%, and expects pre-tax profits for last year to be between £76m to £79m. The company has also been seeking offerors ahead of a potential sale.

Announcing Crasneanscki’s appointment, Sir John Lewis, ME Group’s non-executive chairman comments:

’I am delighted to announce the appointment of Vladimir as deputy CEO. Since joining the company, he has been instrumental in the success of the group’s UK operations as well as the continued progress and development of our core activities, particularly Wash.ME. His strong leadership skills will be invaluable to the group.

‘We have a strong leadership team in place, and we will continue to consider and evolve the composition of the Board as we further build our leading position and progress our long-term growth strategy
