Police believe the three offences may be connected (stock image)

Officers from Warwickshire Police are investigating a series of burglaries at retail stores, including one at a petrol station earlier in the month.

The forecourt, on Hinkley Road in Nuneaton, was broken into at around midnight on August 7.

Two further retail establishments – one in Warwick and another Bedworth – were broken into on the same day or the day before, with cigarettes being stolen in one of the raids.

Coventry Live reports that officers believe the three offences may be connected, though police have not released any further details other than to tell the paper that enquiries are “ongoing”.

Anyone with information can contact the force on 101, or make an anonymous report to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
