Motorway services operator Roadchef is to introduce Spar stores on its sites following an agreement with the symbol group operator.

The deal will see the launch of two test stores at Strensham on the M5 and Northampton on the M1 with the Strensham store opening at the beginning of July. It is anticipated that following a successful trial, the brand will be introduced to its major roadside locations within the next few years.

The Spar stores will be to the brands latest design, with the format combining Spar’s value propositioncombined with a number of more artisan offerings that will meet the increasing demand from motorists for a wider range of healthy, fresh produce at motorway service areas.
