The Scandinavian Tobacco Group UK (STG) has launched the Café Creme Grande range of small cigars. Described by the company as "the biggest innovation in small cigars for decades", Café Creme Grandes are smooth-tasting cigars that come in a distinctive blue crush-proof tin of five. Recommended retail price is £4.24. Outer size is 5x5 to minimise cash outlay for retailers.
Alastair Williams, trade marketing manager at STG, says the small cigar segment has not evolved like the miniature segment: "We understood there was an opportunity for a smooth, imported brand like Café Creme to come in and make an impact on the size segment and give retailers a reason to believe in small cigars again."
