Kerry Foods is aiming to shake up the sliced cooked meats category and bring in new consumers with the launch of Fire & Smoke, a new premium cooked meats brand.

The prime rustic joints are cooked on a low heat for over eight hours, then fire grilled, seared over flames and finally smoked over oak wood chips for a distinctive flavour. Kerry Foods says the seven new variants of pre-packed meats and two deli-counter options have already been hugely successful in Ireland. The pre-packed lines include slow cooked fire grilled ham; fire grilled turkey; and BBQ smoked fire grilled chicken.
