01 Career history: After university I went straight into retail, managing a store for a health products company. From there I joined a conglomerate called BTR, performing a central function role in Group Buying. I then moved into Shell, based in Manchester, and have spent most of my career in contracting and procurement.

02 Current role: I moved into my current role as business development manager for Shell UK Retail in January and it is definitely the most exciting role I’ve undertaken in my career so far.

03 Best thing about my job: The chance to shape the future of Shell’s Retail business in the UK.

04 Dream job: An interior designer.

05 What is my next car: I’ll probably get the Mini Countryman hybrid or the fully electric Mini, which is out soon.

06 What is my dream car: I’ve always wanted a pale blue Aston Martin convertible. But I recently spent a day in a Tesla Model S and it was a fantastic experience!

07 Possessions I couldn’t live without: Mascara.

08 Hobbies and sport: My passion is riding horses.

11 Describe your perfect day: Being out on the water in a boat, horse riding and going to a great pub for dinner.

12 Best holiday: In 2004 I took three months off and went to South America, Antarctica and Australia. It was amazing my favourite place was the Galápagos Islands.

13 Favourite place to stay: Lime Wood in Brockenhurst. It’s a spa hotel.

14 Pet hate: Cables! They are ugly, limiting and a trip hazard and I just hate them!

15 Favourite film: I recently saw Bohemian Rhapsody and really enjoyed it.

16 Favourite read: ’Birdsong’ by Sebastian Faulks.
