EV infrastructure business Swarco Smart Charging has appointed David Holder to lead its petrol forecourt proposition and manage its relationship with Motor Fuel Group (MFG) throughout the UK.
Holder, whose experience in the petrol forecourt sector spans 25 years, will promote Swarco Smart Charging’s turnkey EV charging solution for independent operators and support operators in realising a new revenue stream. The business already has more than 8,000 charging points installed in the UK and has partnered operators such as MFG and national programmes such as ChargePlace Scotland.
Holder said the next two to three years signal the beginning of the end for conventional vehicles, and EV charging presented a significant growth opportunity.
“We recognise there are many operators out there who know what they need to do, but don’t necessarily know where to start,” he said. “That’s why we’re starting the conversations now, providing operators with charging points that are proven over more than a decade to be the most reliable on the market, to provide maximum uptime, and maximum customer satisfaction.”
Justin Meyer, managing director of Swarco Smart Charging, said: “David’s knowledge and experience of the petrol forecourt sector, and his understanding of current and future trends, make him an important part of our journey to guiding our customers to the right solutions, for them to make the transition from fossil fuels to electric.”
