The Association of Convenience Stores (ACS) is reminding forecourt owners there are just three weeks to go until the rollout of the E10 fuel grade, which is being introduced as part of the government’s Transportation Decarbonisation Plan.

From 1 September, E10 petrol will be introduced as the UK-wide standard petrol grade at pumps. ACS is reminding all fuel retailers to ensure that they are prepared for this change, have briefed their staff and communicated the change to their customers to avoid confusion.

The Department for Transport (DfT) has produced a wide range of communications assets here to help forecourt retailers communicate the changes to their customers using the “Know Your Fuel” campaign. The Department for Transport FAQs are here.

More information about the rollout is available at www.acs.org.uk/advice/e10-fuel-grade-rollout and ACS’ Assured Advice on Selling and Storing Fuel, which features information on fuel labelling requirements is available here.
