Home Bargains stores across the UK are set to play host to more EV chargepoints following a partnership with Zest.
Zest chargers have already been installed at Home Bargains stores in Sunderland, Newport, Carrickfergus, Ballymena, Cardigan, and Arbroath, and sockets are due to be added to sites in Ashford, and Leigh, with “more to follow” in 2026.
Simon Reddish, procurement manager at Home Bargains owner TJ Morris says having chargepoints “enhances the experience for our customers, while Zest’s chief executive, Robin Heap comments: “By working with forward-looking retailers like Home Bargains, we’re helping to remove barriers to EV adoption”.
Zest is owned by Zouk Capital, which also co-owns another chargepoint operator, Believ. In common with other chargepoint firms, Zest made a £10.3m loss in 2024, up from negative £6.5m in 2023.
