A Morrisons filling station in Heywood, Greater Manchester, is set to be significantly redeveloped if MFG is granted planning permission by the local authority.
The Times Retail Park forecourt currently features a small kiosk, together with a rollover car wash and a pair of jet washes. MFG is seeking to extend the shop to double its size and, while it will keep the automatic car wash, the pair of jet wash bays will be replaced by a trio, which will sit end-on to the rollover rather than parallel to it.
The existing vacuum machine will be moved from the left-hand side of the shop and placed next to the new valeting area, with one disabled and two conventional parking bays sitting in the spot previously occupied by this facility.
The firm acquired 337 Morrisons filling stations at the beginning of 2024, and has since been updating and improving several sites.
