All manner of vehicles are taking part in the rally

MFG’s commitment to electric cars has been cemented after the firm announced it would again sponsor the EV Rally.

The Top 50 Indie forecourt operator is the ‘start-line’ sponsor for the event, now in its fifth year, welcoming teams and vehicles as they today embarked on the 900-mile ‘Explorer’ route taking in destinations between Newquay and Chester over five days.

All manner of electric vehicles are taking part in the rally, from cars and vans, to HGVs and motorbikes.

MFG is heavily invested in the electrification of road transport, having put £400m into its charging infrastructure, with the blue and green livery of its chargers becoming an increasingly common sight across the UK.

Martin Symes, MFG’s EV director, says his firm is “proud to support the EV Rally for another year”, adding both that it represents “a fantastic opportunity to showcase the progress being made in EV technology and infrastructure”, and that it “aligns with MFG’s commitment to driving the UK’s transition to electric vehicles”.
