Pukka, the nation’s number one pie brand (Kantar), is launching its first-ever single pack frozen pie. Specially-developed for the convenience channel, the Chicken Pie is available in a £1.49 price-marked pack (PMP).

The company says that with more price-conscious shoppers looking to fill their freezers, sales of frozen food are surging – and Pukka is growing more than any other brand (Kantar). Pukka now accounts for two of the top 10 biggest sellers in frozen pies, having catapulted its share of frozen by 100% in just one year (IRI).

This latest SKU joins Pukka’s existing range of four-minute microwaveable frozen pies and comes in a ‘foil’ case which guarantees great-tasting pastry and no soggy bottoms.

“Convenience shoppers are seeking good value – but this isn’t just about the price tag,” said Isaac Fisher, managing director at Pukka. “They still expect quality, affordability and full-on flavour in equal measure, which is why we’ve created a format – for independent retailers – which ticks all of these boxes.”
