Retail solutions provider Business Computer Projects (BCP) has rolled out an upgraded version of the SparPoS point-of-sale software solution to Spar-branded stores.
The move was prompted by Spar’s desire to facilitate the uptake of contactless payment and to ensure that customer credit and debit card information would be handled more securely and satisfy PCI DSS compliancy regulations.
The system, which is tightly integrated with the HTEC HydraPos till for fuel, was rolled out to 700 stores between May and November 2011, and a further 300 over the coming months.
