MFG’s partnership with Greggs continues apace, with the fuel retailer looking to almost double the size of a forecourt shop in Chestfield, Kent, to allow the addition of a Greggs outlet at the site.
The proposals would see an 861sq ft extension added to the rear of the 1,345sq ft shop at the A2990 main-road site, with the new Greggs being accessible externally or from within the shop itself. Six to eight new jobs will be created by the project if it is given the go ahead by Canterbury City Council.
Three additional parking spaces are included in the plans, as is the decommissioning of a standalone HGV pump, which currently sits to the rear of the kiosk on land that will be occupied by the new extension. Truck drivers will be expected to use the main pumps at the front of the forecourt, with the changes expected to remove “potential conflicts” of traffic at the site.
