The biggest event in the forecourt calendar, the Forecourt Trader Awards, is set to take place on January 14, 2021, but due to the ongoing Covid-19 regulations, and to avoid any uncertainty, it has been decided to make it a virtual event.
This means there will not be the networking opportunity at the top London hotel venue, but the team that have staged so many Forecourt Trader Awards occasions in the past, will be turning all their efforts into making this an event to remember – not least because of the amazing effort, skill and entrepreneurship shown by forecourt retailers nationwide, as they have continued to serve their customers through these most difficult of times.
William Reed managing director - retail & manufacturing, Lorraine Hendle, said: “While we are hugely disappointed to have to make this decision in light of the current pandemic, the safety of our guests is paramount. However, we are working hard on exciting plans that will generate the reach and exposure our industry deserves and look forward to welcoming everyone to our virtual awards event in January.”
Full details of how you can join in this tribute to the fuel retailing sector will be issued in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile the rigorous judging process is currently under way as the Forecourt Trader team set out on the road visiting the many sites nationwide that have entered the competition in the hope of winning the industry’s most sought-after title – Forecourt Trader of the Year.
