A UK-based company specialising in high-pressure liquid and gas transfer technology has teamed up with a Dutch partner to offer complete hydrogen refuelling stations across Europe.

Sunderland-based Haskel Hydrogen Systems Group, a subsidiary of Ingersoll Rand, has partnered with Dutch industrial hydrogen technology manufacturer HyGear, part of Xebec Adsorption.

Commenting on the partnership, Jake Martin, hydrogen business development manager at Haskel, said: “HyGear are hydrogen generation specialists and a perfect partner for us. Anyone wanting a full refuelling station can come to us and be supplied with the complete package, including on-site generation.”

Niels Lanser, business development director hydrogen at Hygear, commented: “Haskel’s extensive knowledge of how to deliver hydrogen into the full range of fuel cell electric vehicles made them an obvious choice for us. We look forward to realising the significant commercial opportunities that this collaboration will bring.”

The partnership will initially focus on the market in western Europe and vehicle classes including HGVs, buses, refuse trucks, forklifts and light commercial vehicles, and rail.
