NewsZero to open first synthetic fuel facility
Zero has announced that it is opening its first synthetic fuel facility (Plant Zero.1) on June 14. The facility will include the world’s first fully-featured synthetic fuel plant, leading the way to providing the technical and commercial blueprint for global deployment of synthetic fuels at scale. Plant Zero.1 will manufacture engineering-grade fuels from Q3 2023 to be used for market evaluations and approvals, including ASTM certifications for flight and other applications, to be achieved in early 2024.

NewsULEMCo to lead £8m hydrogen fuel cell project
ULEMCo, the hydrogen fuelled vehicle company and its partners, has been awarded £3.9m by government, matched by industry to a total £7.9m, for a major project with Oxfordshire County Council (OCC) to develop solutions for hydrogen-powered vehicles. The ‘HYER Power’ project will develop a hydrogen fuel cell range extender module that will integrate into EVs used for specialist applications such as ambulances, fire engines and street sweepers.
