Car Wash Association attends London roundtable on labour market regs
The Car Wash Association (CWA) has played a major part in trying to stamp out modern slavery in the non-compliant hand car wash industry and today, as part of its campaign, the group will be represented at a stakeholder engagement roundtable in London. This is hosted by the office of the director of Labour Market Enforcement, which is seeking input into shaping the director’s strategy for 2024/25. This will be submitted to ministers by the end of November.

New report says cashless society is a long way off
New research conducted by independent financial experts Enryo, with input from LINK, the UK’s largest cash machine network, confirmed recently that most people in the UK still use cash, so a cashless society is a long way off. The study found that the vast majority of people in the UK (71%) have used cash in the past two weeks to pay for something and that a quarter of people (25%) do not anticipate that their use of cash will change anytime soon.
